DT: Flowers & Birthdays Oh My!

Hi! This is Angela, with 3*crazy*monkeys and its my day to share with you what I made.
I created this card to go along with this months challenge theme :)

I went super simple, super easy, and I really love how it came out! I simply took a card base I have, added some American Crafts washi tape to it (in all the challenge colors), added 3 foam flowers and stamped Happy Birthday to it. BAM, DONE! LOL

Brain Freeze- PCW Day

Hello my crafty friends!!
This is Connie with Connie Can Crop and I am super excited to be posting as a designer for Paper Crafting World. I am so excited to be able to share these adorable cut and digital files with you.

It is HOT HOT HOT here is So Cal!! So this cute teddy bear is bringing on the summer fun! For this layout I used Paper Crafting World's Bear with Popsicle Cut File. This file is available for only $1.99 in the PCW shop.

I used my Cricut Explore to cut the all my pieces and inked the edges!!
I also decided to add a slurpee from my Cricut files to the title (is not included with the cut file).

I finished off this layout off with some basic borders in fun prints, lots of pop dots, and some sparkles! Now for some Summer fun photos of the kiddos drinking slurpees on 7-11 day!!

Be sure to stop by Paper Crafting World and see all the great files waiting for you!

I can't thank you enough for checking out my project. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!   Scrappy Hugs!

Hello everyone,it's Kim from Katydid Cards here with another video for you.  If you're a regular here, you know that our sponsor this month is Craftin Desert Divas.  They have a great line of products and just in case you're not familiar with them, I thought I would share a few videos so you can see for yourselves.

These are videos from their June release, so all products are relatively new and really, really cute.  Looks like they'd be a lot of fun to work with.

This first one is their Crazy Stitched Dies

And here's a video of their Fair Fun Stamp Set.  So cute!

If you want to stay up to date on all their releases, you can subscribe to their YouTube channel, here.

Okay, now that I've seen these videos I think I need to stop at Craftin' Desert Divas store and do a little shopping.

Before I leave, I want to remind you about the color challenge this month.  You still have time to submit your project with these colors.  Perfect for the summer.

You have until July 31st at 11:59 pm PST to enter.  One winner will be selected at random and will receive a prize from Craftin' Desert Divas.  And the team will pick their three favorites from the submissions.  You'll receive a badge for your blog or social media and bragging rights!

You're on a Roll

Hello everyone, it's Kim from Katydid Cards.  Today I'm sharing my Design Team project.  I'm featuring the Sushi digital image from our sponsor this month, Craftin' Desert Divas.  I'll show you my card first and then talk a bit about how it came together.

When I settled on the design I wanted to use, I sized the image to fit appropriately.  In my Silhouette Designer Edition, I positioned the three California Rolls in the center of the tray.  When I had them where I wanted them, I erased the tray behind them for one seamless image.  I traced around the perimeter and cut it as one piece.

I also cut a separate California Roll to use as an embellishment with the chopsticks.  I split the chopsticks image to make it two individual pieces as I wasn't sure at what angle I wanted to place them.  Creating two gave me the flexibility to place them however I wanted.  I colored the images with Copic markers.  I popped the tray and the top half of the single roll.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to heat emboss the card using an Asian Artistry stamp (retired Stampin' Up) I had or dry emboss with a folder from the Cuttlebug Oriental Weave collection (retired); so I did both.  I heat embossed the front and dry embossed the inside.  I wish I had a different stamp set, but this was all I had.  I'd never used an embossing folder on the inside of the card, but it was an unexpected twist and I think I'll try it again.

I didn't realize until after I made the card Craftin' Desert Divas also has a companion Soy Sauce digital image.  Had I seen than, I would most certainly have added it to the card...it would have been perfect with the sentiment I used.  And speaking of the sentiment, I used the font Chinese Takeaway (how appropriate is that!).

You still have time to enter Connie Can Crop's monthly challenge.  This month it's a color challenge, so you can make any project you want so long as it contains these colors...just perfect for summer!

The winner, picked at random, will receive a great prize from Craftin' Desert Divas.  In addition, we will select our three favorites and will announce them our blog.  You'll also get a badge to display on your blog or social media and bragging rights!  You have until July 31st at 11:59 pm PST to enter, so go make something in the colors above!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

See you next time!
